Sam is a coach and Narrative Focused Trauma Care practitioner who believes that understanding our stories can open the door to greater freedom, connection, and hope.

His own journey of healing awakened in him a deep curiosity about the ways our stories shape who we become, our relationships, beliefs, desires, wounds, and the ways we have learned to protect ourselves. That journey eventually led Sam to The Allender Center, where he received Level I training in Narrative Focused Trauma Care.

With more than a decade of experience coaching, mentoring, and walking alongside others through youth ministry, Sam brings both experience and a deeply relational approach to his work. He values meaningful conversation, honest questions, vulnerability, and the kind of curiosity that is willing to look beneath the surface. He also believes healing work doesn’t always have to feel heavy. Humor, playfulness, and moments of joy are important parts of how Sam engages both life and the people he works with.

Sam primarily works with men who want to better understand themselves and the stories they carry. Some come because they recognize wounds from their past that continue to affect their relationships and sense of self. Others feel stuck in patterns they have been unable to change, including unwanted sexual behaviors, shame, isolation, or relational disconnection. Still others simply know there is more freedom, connection, and wholeness available to them and want someone to walk alongside them as they pursue it.

Rather than approaching these struggles simply as problems to fix, Sam invites men to become curious about the stories underneath them. Together, they explore the experiences and relationships that helped shape current patterns, giving space for wounds and longings to be honestly named and witnessed without judgment or shame.
